| Solar Brite Project - BASF Chattanooga, TN |
|
A structural steel loading rack, roof canopy and pipe bridge was fabricated and installed (along with a pipe header) which allowed product to be stored in railcars. The pipe bridge had to be built over the existing railcars and tied into the existing loading structure. A concrete containment trench system was built to contain any product release that could be pumped back to the waste processing area. The pipe bridge increased the flexibility to receive and ship other products via railcar and truck. Construction activities had to be coordinated around trucks and railcar loading activities. The project was completed ahead of schedule and under budget. |
A new product for BASF was being shipped to and from the site via truck and/or railcar with limited storage space available. To meet production, shipping and storage demands, BIS Frucon Industrial Services supported the design and construction of a new loading platform, a pipe bridge and process piping to meet additional shipping requirements.
