BIS Frucon Industrial Services is seeking Site Construction Leader at our Mehoopany, Pennsylvania site. This position requires a self motivated individual to oversee the development, implementation and maintenance of compliance programs related to industrial construction operations. Oversee total construction effort to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. Includes interfacing with client representatives, engineering representatives, field craft supervisors, subcontractors, union officials, etc.
Educational and experience requirements include: 10-15 years supervisory or equivalent experience in similar type industrial facility construction. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods, estimating, productivity); Company policies, procedures and standards; and union jurisdiction, labor agreements, negotiations essential. Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory and planning skills required. Strong working knowledge of MS office, MS project scheduling and cost management is considered a plus.
1. Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. Review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials. Review, input to and approve estimates for execution.
2. Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site field supervision to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget; investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
3. Manage financial aspects of projects and contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with Client.
4. Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.
5. Initiate and maintain liaison with client and engineering contacts, to facilitate construction activities.
